Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure that creates controlled micro-injuries to the skin, stimulating the production of new collagen and elastin through the release of growth factors and cytokines. This stimulation results in firmer, healthier skin and reduces the appearance of acne, scars, dark spots, wrinkles, and large pores. Traditionally, a synthetic serum with the precursors needed to produce collagen is used during the treatment but at Wellspring Skincare, we offer a service where your own protein precursors are utilized during the procedure. The serum is called platelet rich plasma (PRP) and consists of taking a small sample of blood to spin down and extract each patients own protein precursors and use that in lieu of a lab produced serum.

This is an add on service which utilizes a small sample of blood to extract your own protein precursors, leading to enhanced results with less adverse outcomes. PRP is especially great at reducing wrinkles, fine lines and scars.
